Here at the FSM-ALAM, we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2001, we’ve been supporting our libraries, archives, museums, and community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

Purposes:

1. to foster awareness and build bridges between libraries, archives and museums through cooperating, resource sharing, extending information and gaining knowledge and skills across the FSM;

2. to promote public knowledge and awareness of the functions, resources, services, and needs of the libraries, museums, and archives ;

3. to develop and promote programs for the improvement of library, archival, museum, and related services in the FSM, and to extend those services to the under-served areas of the FSM;

4. to provide a forum and a vehicle for discussing issues and exchange of ideas and information of interest to librarians, archivists, museum curators and related personnel; and

5. to offer continuing education experiences to librarians, archivists, museum curators, and other related personnel.
